I have always been told time travels fast, gaining speed as the years pass while one’s hair turns to gray. Although I have yet to earn my first gray hair, I can certainly testify to the acceleration of time. I still remember sitting in my dorm room freshman year, looking around at my small corner of the room and wondering, “What have I gotten myself into?” In that moment, surviving my first year in college seemed doubtful. Graduation? Utterly unlikely. And yet, four years and a couple months later, here I sit at my computer: a college graduate ready to escape this small town and explore the world. And I plan to do just that.
If you are reading this blog, then I am sure you are already aware of the adventure God has set before me. South Africa is the start of a new chapter in my life, and I cannot wait to see how this story unfolds. I hope all of you plan to come along for the ride. :)
I’m so proud of you. I know God is going to do great things in your life. I have so many memories with our families and I’m looking forward to the journey with you. I will be praying for you and do what I can to help you financially. Love you lots!
Kellie, You don’t know me but I am a long time friend of your Dads, I grew up in Australia as well and a college friend of your Moms. I just want to let you know that I am praying for you and can’t wait to read more of your posts. Have a safe trip and God Bless, Laura
Kelly- I am such awe of what you are doing now! I just now learned where you are…though you have been on my facebook for quite awhile. (Maybe that is a good thing in that I don’t LIVE on fb as a lot do..though I do frequent it a bit much!) So..here I am in a hurry to get things done to get to school to teach my class at CVCC and I want to read ALL of your blog! I can’t now but you can bet I will be a faithful follower!
